What a great pleasure it was to attend the PIH Africa Pastors Gathering in Cape Town, South Africa. It was wonderful to be all together in one place with pastors from the Cape Town area; Andre' & Linda Rousseau, Andries & Sonja from Kriel, ourselves, Brian & Cheryl Long from Knysna and many others. What a blessing to have spent time with Dan & Gwen Slade not only at the gathering, but we had the pleasure of hosting them for a couple of days in Knysna at the Island Church. Rick Oldland, our PIH UK Coordinator and Rolland Baker from Iris Ministries in Mozambique were also with us at the gathering and it was great to have input from different areas of the world.
 
In the conversations over the week it was interesting to note that although we had people from different areas of the world; the Lord is active and alive in all the areas. To get together and understand each others lives, passions and ministries and to see the DNA in each life and how we are all knitted together was the most incredible insight for me.
 
It was great to be able to connect with the pastors and leaders. Dan and Rick shared about what they felt the Holy Spirit was saying to PIH at this time about the Prayer and River movements coming together.
 
We had a question and answer time with Rolland Baker which everyone found to be very insightful and encouraging. Especially the part about "how can we not be happy knowing we have Jesus and a Father who loves us" We should be glowing, ecstatic and bouncing with joy!!!
 
The times of worship and ministry helped to refresh and revive our spirits. So often we become a little worn out in the ministry, and to have time out and be ministered to by such a wonderful group of people, was truly refreshing.
 
One of the highlights during the week was the Skype video call with John Arnott. Although he sat in his living room, it was as if he was in the room with us. It was a great question and answer time and it was exciting for us to discuss with him when he would be with us in South Africa for a conference and for a much longed for visit, on our part.
